Radics and Radiy at the OECD NEA Workshop on VVER Technology Obsolescence and Ageing

March 2-4, 2026 - representatives of Radics and Radiy participated in the VVER Technology Obsolescence and Ageing Workshop organized by the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) in Vantaa, Finland. The companies were represented online by Nataliia Rvachova, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Radics, and Kostiantyn Leontiiev, Technical Director of Radiy.The workshop brought together regulators, nuclear utilities, and industry experts to discuss challenges related to I&C system obsolescence and the ageing of electrical cables in VVER nuclear power plants, as well as approaches to modernization and lifecycle management.Ukraine, with its significant fleet of VVER reactors, was highlighted as a country where Radics and Radiy have extensive practical experience in modernization projects.

Radics at the IAEA: Advancing Digital I&C Software Verification and Validation

16–20 February 2026, our team had the opportunity to participate in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Consultancy Meeting on the use of Digital Technologies in Nuclear Power Plants, with a specific focus on Verification and Validation (V&V) of software for nuclear I&C systems. The meeting provided a valuable platform to share experience and engage in in-depth discussions on some of the most critical aspects of digitalization in nuclear power plants. With her presentation addressing common challenges and clarifying V&V expectations across the full project lifecycle, Radics Deputy Chief Operating Officer Nataliia Rvachova supported the refinement of IAEA Technical Report Series No. 384, an important guidance document on digital I&C software V&V process for nuclear power plants. Participation in this consultancy meeting reinforced Radics’ commitment to nuclear safety and to the continuous advancement of international best practices in the nuclear industry.
