Radics Strengthened Nuclear Industry Partnerships at NPPES 2026 and the CANDU Supply Chain Event

July 13 – July 17, 2026 - Radics Deputy Chief Operating Officer Nataliia Rvachova participated in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Second Consultancy Meeting on the Use of Digital Technologies in Nuclear Power Plants: Verification and Validation (V&V) of Software Related to Nuclear Power Plant Instrumentation and Control, held at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
The consultancy meeting brought together international experts from nuclear utilities, regulatory authorities, technical support organizations, engineering companies, technology vendors, and research institutions to exchange experience on the verification and validation process of digital nuclear I&C systems.
The primary objective of the meeting was to prepare a revised edition of IAEA Technical Reports Series No. 384, Verification and Validation of Software Related to Nuclear Power Plant Instrumentation and Control. Originally published in 1999, the document is being updated to reflect advances in digital technologies, modern software engineering practices, cybersecurity requirements, and contemporary approaches to the development and modernization of nuclear I&C systems.
Participants addressed key challenges associated with software verification and validation throughout the lifecycle of nuclear I&C systems, including V&V methodologies, testing strategies, quality assurance, configuration management, cybersecurity considerations, and the application of emerging digital technologies. During the discussions, Nataliia Rvachova presented Radics' experience and contributed with practical engineering perspectives to the ongoing revision of the publication.
Radics' participation in this IAEA initiative reflects the company's ongoing commitment to supporting international nuclear safety, contributing to the development of global guidance, and advancing best practices for digital instrumentation and control systems.
