RadICS Platform Confirms High Standards in I&C Supply Process

Providing high standard I&C supply and maintenance service to the clients Radics has developed long-term strategic planning of our digital FPGA-based Platform RadICS. The activities include the Platform further development and qualification, extension of Platform functionality and evolution of the tools. Adding new modules to the Platform requires renewal of its certification to confirm RadICS Platform functional safety and reliability.

In November 2023 Radics started the process of SIL 3 re-certification to ensure the safety and efficiency of I&C platform design and I&C-based products manufacture, testing, supply and maintenance. Radics is currently working with experts of ANSI accredited certification agency exida to confirm compliance with the requirements of internationally recognized Standard IEC 61508 and prove the dependability critical characteristics of RadICS Platform–based equipment.

The Platform strategic planning also includes all recent updates to the RadICS Platform to be reviewed by the US NRC: new modules development, their safety lifecycle process and procedures, and V&V process. Radics has started preparing documents to submit for US NRC experts’ review.

Maintaining certification status allows Radics to have one of the most certified digital I&C platforms and offer nuclear clients in Europe and North America most advanced I&C systems with enhanced performance characteristics and functional capabilities.
